Finally, your ring will be presented in luxurious eco-friendly packaging, ready for you to collect or to be securely shipped. Any necessary aftercare will be provided.

1. CASE STUDY

Nick wanted to get the perfect ring for Aimee, with a plan to surprise her with the proposal on their trip to Iceland. This is how I made this dream a reality.

2. INSPIRATION

Inspiration from Aimee's current jewellery collection and magazines that Nick had secretly sourced without her knowing. I felt her style was quite ornate, delicate but with a contemporary edge.

3. SKETCHBOOK

I sat down with a sketchbook for initial designs. The main thing we had to decide was whether the main stone was to be pear or oval shaped. We felt having graduating sized diamonds down the sides would create more flow to the shape.

4. GEMS

I selected a range of diamonds with varying quality that would suit this clients' budget and desires. After giving him a mini education in diamond qualities, we ended up with one that spoke to Nick, he instantly fell in love with it.

5. CAD

I created some CAD images of the proposed design to help Nick visualise the ring. We made a couple of changes to the setting style as we felt it would suit her personality better.

6. SETTING

I began to construct the ring, getting the settings ready for the diamonds to be secured in place. Cutting the metal away under the stones allows more light to reflect from underneath.

7. FINAL RING

The finished article, Nick proposed on their trip to Iceland, and Aimee was over the moon.
